Ol' Number 9

"OK, boys, let 'er rip!"

Ol' Number Nine is a Grouch transportation mechanism that is so named cause it is a giant number 9. Like the X Train, the Ol' Number Nine, is described to be a normal form of Grouch transportation.

A Sesame Street song by Grundgetta describes this mechanism. Gordon finds her outside the Fix-It Shop, waiting for the "ol' number 9". He assumes she's talking about the bus, but tells her no number 9 bus passes their street. The vehicle arrives, which is revealed to by a shoddy number 9 that takes her down the street as she sings, eventually passing Oscar's trash can.
