"Knock Three Times" is a song about the number 3 sung by Oscar the Grouch. He explains that if you want to see him, you can knock 3 times on his trash can lid but he'll yell "Go Away!". If you want to take him for a drive, you can honk 3 times, but he'll just stay in his trash can. & if you want to talk to him you can call & let the phone ring 3 times but he won't answer. Because he doesn't want to talk to, ride with, or see anybody! But at the end of the song he realizes that if nobody knocks, honks or rings 3 times there won't be anyone to bother him! So he says, "So I guess you could knock three times or honk 3 times or ring three times. Whatever."
